Job Summary

Design and implement automated validation solutions for APIs, data pipelines, transformations, database reconciliation, and regression testing. Build reusable automation frameworks, integrate test suites with CI/CD pipelines, and produce execution evidence and reporting to support data quality and platform reliability.

This job can be done fully remotely, however if the candidate is located near a PLATO office location hybrid work will be required.

Current Government of Canada Reliability clearance (or higher) is required at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated validation for APIs, ETL/data pipelines, transformations, database reconciliation, and regression testing.

• Build reusable automation frameworks using advanced Python development.

• Perform SQL-based validation and reconciliation.

• Validate schemas, contracts, and batch/event-driven interfaces.

• Create automated reporting and logging solutions.

• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

• Follow Git branching and code review best practices.

• Produce test execution evidence and reports.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of test automation experience, preferably in an enterprise level data integration project.

• 5+ years of experience in building and implementing reusable automation frameworks using advanced Python development.

• Advanced knowledge of the following technologies:

  • Python, Pytest, Playwright.

  • Requests or HTTPX.

  • Pandas or PySpark.

  • SQL.

  • Postman/Newman.

  • Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines.

  • Microsoft Azure including: Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

  • Kafka/Event Hub.

  • JFrog Artifactory.

  • Allure or equivalent reporting tool.
