Contract Duration: ASAP to Dec 31, 2026 with a strong possibility of extension

Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Data team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team by gathering and documenting requirements, translating business needs into actionable data specifications, and ensuring delivered solutions align with stakeholder expectations. You will work closely with Data Engineers and the Product Owner to support the delivery and validation of data solutions.
Responsibilities
Engage with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate data and reporting requirements.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications for the Data Engineering team.
Support product development activities, including backlog refinement, user story writing, and acceptance criteria definition.
You will work closely with Data Engineers and the Product Owner to validate that data solutions meet business requirements using Oracle SQL to interrogate datasets and confirm accuracy.
Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, priorities, and delivery status.
Identify and document data quality issues and work with engineers to define resolution approaches and preventive controls.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a preference for large enterprise level transformations.
Intermediate proficiency in Business Requirements Analysis.
Beginner proficiency in Oracle SQL and Product Development.
Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and data requirements.
Ability to translate business needs into clear technical specifications.
Working knowledge of Oracle SQL and the ability to read and interpret data to validate outputs and support requirements definition.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
While this role does not require building data pipelines, candidates must be comfortable using data to support business analysis and solution validation.
