Job Summary
The Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise integration solutions that enable seamless connectivity between applications, platforms, and data sources across the organization. Working closely with Architecture, DevOps, and Application Development teams, this role delivers scalable, secure, and reliable integrations using the Red Hat Integration stack, supporting API-led, event-driven, and containerized architectures. The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling data exchange, process automation, and system interoperability across a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement enterprise integration solutions using Apache Camel (Camel K, Camel Quarkus, or Camel Spring Boot) and established Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP).
Develop and manage Apache Kafka event streaming solutions, including topic design, producer and consumer development, stream processing, and schema management using Apicurio Registry.
Design, develop, and expose APIs using Red Hat 3scale API Management.
Deploy, configure, and support integrations running on Red Hat OpenShift, including administration and optimization of Red Hat AMQ Streams and messaging platforms.
Integrate enterprise applications and services using REST APIs, SOAP services, databases, AMQ Broker/ActiveMQ Artemis, and SaaS platforms.
Develop and maintain automated testing, integration validation, and CI/CD processes using OpenShift Pipelines (Tekton), Jenkins, and Git-based workflows.
Monitor integration health, performance, and reliability using Prometheus, Grafana, Hawtio, and related monitoring tools.
Perform data transformation and mapping activities using JSON, XML, Avro, and XSLT.
Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, and development teams to ensure integration solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and operational objectives.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in Integration Development, Middleware Engineering, or a related discipline.
Hands-on experience developing integration solutions with Apache Camel, including Camel K, Camel Quarkus, or Spring Boot implementations.
Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, event streaming, Kafka Streams, and schema-based messaging.
Experience with Red Hat Integration technologies, including AMQ Streams, Red Hat Fuse, or Camel-based solutions deployed on OpenShift.
Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin; experience with Python is considered an asset.
Experience designing and consuming REST and SOAP web services, including OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
Strong understanding of integration and messaging formats, including JSON, XML, and Avro.
Experience deploying and supporting containerized workloads using Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Git-based development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional technical teams.
