Role Overview
The Risk Assessment Consultant will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and enhancing data governance practices to ensure the accuracy, integrity, security, and effective management of organizational data. Working closely with business and IT stakeholders, the consultant will support data governance initiatives, risk assessment activities, and data stewardship programs while promoting compliance with governance standards and security requirements. The successful candidate will work independently, provide subject matter expertise, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Establish, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define data standards and support effective data collection, storage, access, and usage practices.
Drive data stewardship initiatives to support comprehensive and effective data governance.
Conduct risk assessments, perform risk analysis, and contribute to risk modeling activities.
Support File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) operations, including monitoring, investigation, reporting, and escalation of findings.
Develop and deliver training programs to increase organizational awareness and adoption of data governance practices.
Conduct audits to assess compliance with data governance policies and recommend improvements.
Partner with IT teams to ensure data security controls are integrated into governance frameworks and processes.
Create and maintain documentation related to data governance processes, standards, controls, and procedures.
Engage stakeholders to gather feedback and support the continuous improvement of governance and risk management initiatives.
Work independently while actively contributing to team discussions and providing solutions to complex business challenges.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in Data Governance, Delivery Risk Management, Risk Analysis & Modeling, and File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) Operations.
Advanced proficiency in Data Governance, including policy development, data stewardship, governance frameworks, and compliance monitoring.
Strong knowledge of data integrity, data security, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and recommending process and control improvements.
Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams to support governance, security, and risk management objectives.
Intermediate proficiency in Data Analysis and Data Management is preferred.
Active Reliability Security Clearance is required.
